Using EventStore in a CQRS "architecture" makes unnecessary the use of a message bus?

I'm pretty novice in this kind of paradigms / architectures or as you please call CQRS. I start a project in which I think would fit quite this type of technology. I found it interesting use EventStore in the project, but I reading a bit in the documentation I see the use of EventStore makes unnecesary having a message bus, as the EventStore itself allows the subscription to events ... is this correct? Would have some advantage to implement the use of a bus in the top to EventStore?
