Detect pattern in a series of timestamps

I'm facing a problem at work where I need to come up with a solution that will find a pattern (if such exists) in an array of timestamps.

The timestamps represent events that happened during the past week. My intention is to go through the timestamps, and try to seek if a certain pattern exists: for example, if the events occur every half an hour, every hour etc.

My question is: is there any machine learning algorithm that can solve such problem?
