I'm a fresh graduate who recently landed a Jr Software Engineer job in a small company that specializes in web development using Java, Spring, and Hibernate. I have fair knowledge in HTML/CSS, SQL, and JavaScript. It's been a week since I started my training and I am loving it so far! For the past week, we covered mostly theoretical about Enterprise architecture, DAOs, Service layer, Presentation layer, Data layer, dependency injection, unit testing, integration testing, mock objects and many more (this week I think we'll get into JUnit, DbUnit). Sadly it is my first time hearing these terms because I've never heard of them in academe. :((( But I'm doing fine and I'm grasping all of the topics we have covered so far. I just want to ask for opinions from my fellow professional colleagues on how should I go with this because I know for a fact that all web developers , in their staring years, have been here. I want to take extra time after work to improve and improve and improve because I can't wait for my first task already! haha
