Why do we need to hav anti patterns?

Please describe the purpose , advantage and disadvantage of using anti pattern.

I know the use of design pattern , but results from varies internet source is not giving me a clear idea.

I just want to know the theoretical explanation for anti-pattern - purpose , advantage and disadvantage.
