What is difference between Abstract factory and prototype design pattern in C++ [on hold]

As per Design Pattern by gang of four, stated that Abstract factory and prototype is implemented by similar fashion. My question is as below

1. what is the basic difference between these two patterns ?
2. under which scenario which pattern to use ?
