Design Pattern(s) for Basic Front End Functionality (event listeners, etc.)

I am looking for suggestions, or for assistance in pointing in me in the right direction for literature, on how to better organize/design my basic front-end coding (along the lines fo OOP design-patterns). I am tired of looking at a jumbled soup of event listeners scattered all over the place. I know there are a great deal of design patterns out there, and I have found this to be especially helpful, but I cannot figure out how to apply any of these directly to basic front-end functionality. Any hints, tips, or pointers would be greatly appreciated!
