Developing a website with ability to convert to mobile application

I'm preparing to develop this website as a personal project that I've been thinking about for a long time, and my field experience is in ASP.Net MVC and Web API mostly. but I want to think ahead of time and develop my website in a way so in the future I can make a mobile application(which I have no experience in making one right now) based on my models and controllers. So which design patterns should I choose, and what standards I should stick to?

If you want to know a little about the business of the projects, it's a community-based website that people can make flags on the areas that need city departments attention, like a street that needs a speed bump and other people can up-vote or down-vote the issue.
