What are the best practise to write a GUI application?

As I said in the title, what are the best practise?

Is good enough pass the GUI between classes?

Is good enough pass the view or the controller between classes in the MVC pattern?

How can a class update a GUI component without passing GUI component at constructor or declaring static component in GUI or use getters?
