Which is better to use Play Framework 2.5 routing or AngularJS routing?

I have started developing a new application in Play Framework and in the front end I am using AngularJS.

What I would like to know is, if it is better to use Play Framework routing or AngularJS Ui routing.

For a small scale application, I guess it is better to use AngularJS routing, but for a large scale webapp is it advisable to use AngularJS routing, as the code base for the js files might get very big.

What will be a good design practice here?
