design spring large volume data daily

I want your help in designing an approach.My System will query to DB to get PND status records and its count is near about 100 thousands. I have a batch JOB which will run everyday. so, system will get near about 100 thousands records daily. Then system needs to perform business operation and again update the DB for those 100 thousands records with Status - CMP. Here, function is simple but data volume is big everyday.Currently, my application uses spring framework.so, what are the different alternatives, you think could be.
