How do you guys decide to use different kind of design patterns in javascript?

Means as there are three category of design pattern( Creational , Structural, Behavioral) available but these are having many patterns which can be used but how can one decide in what scenario which will be better keeping in mind of present and future need(as scaling of code base and complexity increases on day to day basis).
