could anybody propose any solution for sequencing story events in games. The events I am talking about are for example:
The player enters the room and task is given to him to him to open the wardrobe. When he do that lights start flickering. It starts raining. Play a cutscene. Cat enters the room etc.
So these events represent game flow. Basically any event but it can be controlled by time variable, or player action, or trigger.
I know about coroutine sequencing but I am more interested in other solutions, like state machine perhaps(I am not sure if this is the good use of it)?
