CoModIDE sequence design pattern

I'm trying to use Protege plugin named CoModIDE.

I'm really new to ontologies. I have troubles trying to understand sequence design pattern. As I understand, what I have in the Schema Editor is really different from what authors show in their documentation tab.

Why is there doubling elements?

Is it because of any features of description logic?
