Translating a sentence to another language with java interpreter design pattern

For a project I am working on a translation program in java where you have to fill in a sentence and translate it into another language, for example from English to French or Dutch to English. First there're check whether the sentence is correctly formulated. I want to use the interpreter design pattern. I have visited several sites and tried things out but nothing helps. I thought about combining interator design pattern with the interpreter. But I do not know where to start. Does anyone have tips or knows how to start?
