Running R script in Python

Is it a bad Practice to run R scripts in with python?
I have python installed on my web server (MAMP and AWS) and I can't have Rscript running in it. Python is installed on my server. Is it a bad practice to run R scripts in python from a PHP file? if not can I use PHP and MySQL and R script on one server (AWS)?
