Need to understand the concept if patterns in programming [on hold]

When I search regarding patterns it shows design patterns related concepts . Is this pattern refers to design patterns or more generic term ? I can see that paradigm is style of programming or the approach . So what should this pattern related to and how to compare it with pattern. Please share a good info about patterns not just design patterns .
