Factory patterns use case understanding

I am learning factory pattern ,and i came accross this article : https://codeburst.io/design-patterns-learning-abstract-factory-method-through-real-life-examples-9d0cc99ef0e8 Evert thing is greate except purpse of 'make' interface.I am not clear why objects need to implement make method,and how i can relate make method with real example.
