What's the optimal way of developing CRUD JavaFx app?

well, I just finished a simple javafx app that connects to sqlite db (for a client)... I followed the DAO pattern and I added threads to it, and it works fine, However I think there's a more PROFESSIONAL way of building it ex: handling input from other windows ,locking the app on one computer, and all the other optimizations that I obviously don't know about!
