Android start workmanager in repository

In our repository we change data in our database, we also need to send these information to server, server response is not importante. But if the user stay offline and make changes we have to send these information to server asap user back online.
Question is:
Is it keep our architecture clean to run our workmanager in repository when user changes data (with injection application context in repository)?
