Using Design Patterns

May be this is a duplicate question. Please excuse me if it is.

I want to know in agile development after designing a system and implementing it partly, then if we decide there is some place to re design using a design pattern what will happen to the implementation? Do I have to re design everything and even the UI?

Or is there any better way to avoid it or any better solution other than re implementing the whole system?
