I need help implementing the Provider Design pattern with suitable exception handling

I'm working on a project at work that manipulates Excel. The solution does a great job at going through the motions and filling out the report but it crashes during Exceptions. I do not know how to implement the exception handling or use the Provider Design pattern with nested Exceptions.

I have 4 Classes

-Logging -LogStat -Dashboard -ClosedCases

These Classes go through the Logic of the report and fill out the numbers, query databases, put the Report in the form I need it to be.

I have an Agent class that represents one of our Employeees

I have a couple of WPF Views that provide a GUI for the User or the person who's completing the report. I can't post much code because I am a corporate Employee and I can't disclose confidential information, but I would just love some assistance on appropriate error handling.
