I've been given a task to help grow my understanding of architecture. I see it as a personal weakness and want to focus on it. My Lead Dev is supportive and thus I'm in my current situation...
I've got a small c# Windows Forms Application that essentially just restages files from point A to point B, zipping/unzipping as needed, based on a few user inputs. An ID number a few check boxes and a date range.
In addition to its current functionality, I'm supposed to design it in such a way that we can easily add new utility functionality.
MVC/MVP has never really clicked for me, so that's where I started. Looking up tutorials on MVP. I understand the general concept but how everything plugs in together and putting the pieces together has me feeling very dumb. I don't even know if that's the best approach.
My question is two part: 1. What is the best way to architect what I've described? 2. How/Why did you come to that conclusion?
